Solar Eclipse - May 20, 2012

The solar eclipse happened on Camrie's 3rd birthday this year....how cool is that? the last eclipse was 18 years ago in 1994.  I remember it, but we didn't watch it like we did this time.  Nick and Paige came over for a bit to have birthday cupcakes and they brought over an extra pair of glasses, we also made a solar eclipse viewer out of a shoe box that worked well too.  It was definately darker outside and the temperature dropped a noticeable 10 degrees.  Kanaraville was suppose to be the best viewing spot for the eclipse and was planning on about 5,000 people converging on the tiny town.  We had a pretty awesome view from our own back yard!


I think Camrie looks like a Ninja Turtle...wasn't it Donatello that had the pink band around his eyes??
