IT'S A......

Braxton and Tanner are so excited to announce that they are going to be BIG BROTHERS!!! Yep, you read right!! We are expecting a baby girl around June 10th, 2009. But if she is at all like her brothers, we can plan on her debut sometime in May (they both arrived at 36 weeks). We told our families for Christmas, Troy didn't think I could make it that long but I showed him! So we need name ideas, and just what the heck do I do with a girl?? You'd think that growing up with just sisters it would be the opposite. I have found that at least my boys are so easy, and frankly girls scare me! Anyway, we are very excited and I can't wait to go shopping there are so many cute girly outfits and accessories. She has been quite stubborn and I've had a hard time seeing what she was, but finally gave us a good look right before christmas. Troy laughs at me cuz I still get a little nervous and have to check again just to make sure. A couple days before Christmas, Tanner started saying 'baby' at daycare-his first clear word other than momma, and dadda. His teachers thought it was so cute and we thought it was very ironic! Braxton is very excited and has told everyone he can possibly tell, it took him a bit to catch on to the pink 'I love my big brother' bib he got for Christmas, he thought it was a new one for Tanner. So, that is the big news from the Webb household, and we've been so excited to share it with everyone else!!!

HAPPY NEW YEAR!!

First off, I should make a new year's resolution to blog more!! I will recap our holidays...Thanksgiving was split between families in Cedar City and St. George. All of Troy's siblings were together in Cedar which hasn't happened for quite sometime since they are scattered anywhere between Delta, Richfield, Cedar, Arizona, and Texas. All my family came to St. George to eat at my sister Caroline's, which worked well for me since I was on call for the hospital and couldn't leave town. So Troy and Tanner went to Cedar and Braxton and I stayed here. We both had a great day and enjoyed good company and food.
Christmas was so fun! This year Braxton spent Christmas Eve/Day in Cedar with his dad. Santa was happy to be able to hit the sack early and sleep in until Tanner woke up at 8 am. We opened our presents and laughed at Tanner having more fun in the boxes and paper. We ran to Beaver for dinner and stayed to visit just a bit longer than we should've and didn't even make it to the freeway before we turned around and went back to my parents for the night! The storm was CRAZY! we couldn't even see beyond the hood of our car. About 30 mins after we went back, my dad had to go out and help close the freeways, we listened to the scanner and there were cars off everywhere, and UDOT wouldn't even send the plows out until the storm let up a bit. I was suppose to work the next morning but instead slept in and woke up to my dad on the 4 wheeler digging out the neighbors van in over a foot of snow. We left about noon and the freeways were still awful but we made it safely.
I enjoyed everything leading up to Christmas...our annual shopping day for mom with my dad and sisters. Dad started this tradition 32 years ago with my oldest sister when she turned 8 and when the rest of us turned 8 we got to join the crew. Mom makes her christmas list and we go shop and have tons of fun! I couldn't get enough christmas music this year...I loved it. December also means 10 nights of sleeping on the couch for Troy and I while we stay up late watching the NFR (National Finals Rodeo)in Vegas. One of out 1st dates was going there in '05 compliments of Diamond G Rodeo. This year we scored a pair of awesome tickets for the 4th go round right above the roping chutes. For this small town girl, there is nothing better than the smell of cattle! I always look forward the our ward's Angel Tree and going shopping for those who could use a little extra help. Nothing brings in the Christmas spirit more than helping others to brightening their holidays. We attended work christmas parties, and were also in charge of our ward's christmas breakfast which was a whole lot of work, but a great success! Most of all I love being with friends and family and celebrating our Saviors birth.
New Year's eve was a blast making pizza and playing games with the neighbors. Braxton even made it to see the fireworks at midnight. He was so excited for the festivities and told me he'd have to have a good nap at daycare so he could 'party all night.'
This past friday afternoon Troy hung out the red U of U blanket on our balcony and hoped for the best...little did we (and Alabama fans) know what a great game the Sugar bowl would turn out to be - GO UTES! Troy wore his Utah tie to church today with great pride.
We have been so very blessed this past year and look forward to great things this coming year. I hope everyone had a great holiday season as well!!
