Still resting...

So my 1 week of bed rest has officially turned into 4 weeks - much to my dismay, but after my next appointment on Wed. I should be good to 'do anything I want' as my dr. put it. I will be 36 weeks by then, which is usually when I deliver so we will wait and see what happens. I've also been doing Non Stress Tests 2x's a week and so far she does great, they've had to buzz her a few times to wake her up but after that she moves everywhere! We are pretty much ready for her and are so excited to meet and hold her. Tanner points to his belly now and says 'Baby' he also carries his bear around calling it baby. We wonder how he will do with a new baby around since he is such a DADDY's BOY and loves our attention. Tonight Troy and I wrote down our predictions for date, time, weight, etc.... I think May 15, he put May 22.
I've gotten a lot of scrapbooking done the past couple weeks, Braxton's is almost caught up and maybe when Tanner is 5 I'll start his too :) All I can say is thank goodness for DVR and neighbors with a great movie collection. Our receiver & DVR was on the fritz last week, & Troy kindly let the repair guy know that I was in serious need of the DVR & basically we weren't going to wait out the weekend until Monday to get it fixed. So it was working the next day...yay!
I had a couch partner today, Troy has cellulitis in his elbow and is on IV antibiotics. We don't know where it came from but it started to swell the other night & now extends from mid humerus to mid forearm. They drained about 5 ml's of fluid off it today, he's got a high white count and fever. He came home with his elbow bandaged & IV port in the other arm. They cultured it and so far we know 4 colonies have grown (apparently that means it's a pretty bad infection) but we don't know what it is yet. So needless to say we are a pathetic pair...it's not very often we are home together without kids & we can't even take advantage of the opportunity to go do something besides lay on the couch & whine!!

More Easter '09

The Easter Bunny came!!!

The Easter Bunny found our house last weekend and brought lots of yummy treats! He leaves a jelly bean trail from the kid's bedrooms to where ever he hids their baskets. He left one for Tanner from his room to his basket, and one from the garage this year for Braxton since he would be coming from being with his dad in Cedar. Tanner wasn't too sure about the trail and would point and say "uh-oh". I caught him at the top of the stairs with buldging cheeks full of jelly beans he'd collected on the way up. Tanner loved his sunglasses and wore them to church. During the Sacrament I asked him to fold his arms, so he grabbed his sunglasses, put them on and then was ready to be reverent! So much for the reverence on our bench... we all laughed so hard! Braxton came home missing his 2 front teeth & had his first visit from the tooth fairy while in Cedar. He waited to put the 2nd tooth under his pillow here to see if the t.fairy would come again, & she did. His 2 permanent teeth had already started to come in & pretty much pushed the loose baby ones out.

Easter '09

Conference weekend both Braxton & Brandon were here at the same time which rarely happens, so we took advantage of the opportunity to do all our fun Easter activities this weekend instead. I promised Braxton I'd take him to an Easter Egg hunt down here since he would be with his dad on Easter in Cedar, so we started out the day on Saturday with the Bloomington Walmart egg hunt which took all of 10.6 seconds, both Braxton & Brandon brought in a haul! Afterwards, we loaded up the car, stopped for some KFC, and headed to Red Cliffs for our Easter picinic. It was a chilly, rainy day but we had a great time hiking and playing on the rocks. Braxton was so muddy and wet at the end of the day, he had to ride home with just his underwear on, I was proud of him getting so dirty and having fun doing everything Brandon did. Brandon is his idol! :)
After showers and naps, we had dinner & spent 2 hrs at Pirate Island Pizza. It's amazing the TIME & MONEY that can be spent there without realizing it, but the kids had fun so I suppose every now & then it's worth it. We came home and colored easter eggs and went to bed.... We enjoyed watching conference on Sunday. How blessed we are to have such great leaders to guide, inspire, & remind us of the important things in life. I think we just all loved being in our jammies until noon more than anything! I also got everyone's 72 hr packs all rotated out & ready for the summer season. Braxton was quite excited to eat the food out of his that needed to be rotated.
In between sessions, we painted easter sugar cookies which was always one of my favorite Easter traditions growing up, and was a first for Brandon this year.
The Easter Bunny, however, waited to come the following weekend. How do you explain 2 consecutive w.end bunny visits to a 5 year old???

"Couch-Rest"

This past Wednesday I went to my 32 week OB appt, and after having another Fetal Fibronectin test and being checked, and told I was dialated to 3-4 cm. I was promptly sent over the to OB floor to be monitored and start steriod shots to help baby's lungs a bit. I even had a few contractions and the nurses were suprised that I didn't feel them, but I explained that's the problem, after 2 preterm deliveries I have NEVER felt a contraction yet, I just dialate! So I stayed for about 3 hours and everything was fine. My OB dr came to check me this time (his CFNP checked me before at the office.) And said I was only a 2. So they discharged me to my couch for a week, and we will go from there. Hopefully we can keep her in until at least 35 wks & I will be happier, my boys both came at exactly 36 wks. It's only been 3 days, but some long 3 days! How do women do it for months?? A big shout out to everyone at work who has been willing rearrange shifts and cover my call this weekend, thanks you're the best! :)
